The Florida Nonprofit Alliance Partners with the Unemployment Services Trust to Help Nonprofit Members Keep More Cash in Their Pockets

The Florida Nonprofit Alliance's endorsement of the Unemployment Services Trust will provide both unemployment claims management services and expert HR guidance to the Florida nonprofit sector.

The Unemployment Services Trust (UST) is pleased to announce that the Florida Nonprofit Alliance has partnered with UST as their newest Affinity Partner. As the 82nd nonprofit association to join forces with the Trust, the Florida Nonprofit Alliance will now offer its members the latest educational resources, HR services, and unemployment claims support they need to reduce organizational costs and maintain HR best practices.

The UST program helps 501(c)(3) organizations take advantage of the federal law that allows nonprofits to opt out of the state unemployment tax system, and instead pay only the dollar-for-dollar cost of unemployment benefits paid to former employees. The average savings for those who are overpaying for unemployment taxes is $16,000 annually.  And with the Trust providing both savings and protection, UST members from across the U.S. see their average unemployment claim cost drop to $2,287 per claim, compared to the national average of $5,174.

We constantly strive to provide the most informative and user-friendly resources to help nonprofits reduce their paperwork burdens and stay compliant with the state.

Donna Groh, Executive Director
